Dear Friends and Family,

As the one year anniversary of Oscar and Finnegan's births / deaths approaches, I feel the desire to do something special in their honor.  I like the idea of collecting something specific, something I can put my hands on or something I can imagine others putting their hands on.  I also like the idea of doing something a little different to honor Ozzy and Finn each November.  For 2011, I'd like to collect copies of three different books.

I am working with The United Methodist Children's Home, a licensed foster care / adoption agency, and they would like to give three beautifully written, beautifully illustrated books to every foster child who comes into care:  Kids Need to Be Safe, by Julie Nelson; Families Change, also by Julie Nelson; and Maybe Days, by Jennifer Wilgocki and Marcia Kahn Wright.  Each book would be a great comfort to foster children as well as a wonderful resource for foster parents.
